	THE CONDON REPORT

The Condon Report is an in-dept research project done on the study of Unidentified Flying Objects, by a team at the University of Colorado. This publication takes and redesigns the Condon Report, which upon recieving was disorganized, hard to follow and in completely plain text.&#38;nbsp;


The design of this publication is based on the nuances, navigation, and design seen in cartography which appeared in many diagrams and visuals used to describe various UFO sightings. The margins of the book take inspiration from the coordinate systems of maps, and the use of topography becomes a prevalent identity throughout the book and is used to create an exciting pace as you move through the publication.

	STERRETJE TYPEFACEIn collaboaration with The Henry Ford Museum, our team of designers were granted access to the expansive non public archives of the museum to take inspiartion from the countless type specimens found on everything from old publications, the carvings on wooden wheels, vintage games, to old toasters. Documenting as much as we could we then all individually categorized and narrowed down to find specimens to inspire our own typeface design. I was pulled towards a range of script, blackletter, and fraktur fonts. After a lot of hand sketching and quick digital prototyping the typeface started to move towards a modular system comprised of a base kit of parts that could be used to create a consistent family throughhout both the upper and lowercase alphabet.
The final product became a modern take on traditional blacketter forms. The thin sharp points of the serif lead the typeface to be named ‘Sterretje’ after the Dutch word for asterisk and star, an ode to both the typeface and my second language.

This was a short sprint of a project that challenges abilities to conceptualize and iterate at a fast pace. The zine was also entirely assembled and printed by hand on the Risograph printer using the ink colors Sunflower and Hunter Green.

826 MONTANA: ODDBALLS

For this branding project I took the already established non-profit organization 826, and designed a new location for one of their centers. 826 is a tutoring center who help students from grades k-12 to help with their writing skills, with an emphasis on their creative writing. Each location doubles as a themed store that encapsulates the essence of the city or state that it is located in.


I was given the city Bozeman, Montana to design a store around. Through deep research on what makes Montana, Montana I landed on my store named Oddballs, a store of unusual sizing. The concept being that Montana's huge natural landscape compared to the small population makes you feel unusually tiny and everything else unusually big, hence a store of unusual sizes.

GOOD GRIEF
In this team project we started by looking at the four main emotions being fear, joy, anger and sadness. My team and I then worked to understand and explore the way these emotions could be represented through a set of communications that highlighted these emotions.
Through studying emotions and the overlap between them we decided to focus on grief. We saw grief as a non linear process with steps forward and back that covered a huge range of both positive and negative emotions.
Good Grief reimagined the process of grieving from the traditional 7 stages to a nonlinear journey of emotions. 	DARJEELING LYRIC VIDEO
This project acted as an After Effects speed course where only typography and one other secondary element (video) were used in creating a lyric video where it was encouraged to only use the basic transform properties of scale, position, rotation, and opacity when animating.&#38;nbsp;
The design decisions made for this video took after the overall personal branding and feel of FKA Twigs’ other videos from the album, and compiled snippets from both her music video discography and that of Jorja Smith’s to create a new motion piece that would fit in nicely with her other works.

DALLY IN THE ALLEY

Dally In The Alley is one of Detroit's longest-running events. Organized by volunteers and the North Cass Community Union, this festival is a neighborhood celebration of local musicians, artists, restaurants, vendors and people of all sorts. The event is set in the unique and historic alleys and streets of the north Cass Corridor.
This poster series was based off of the location of the original Alley before the festival exploded into a much larger event. As an additional element, a coloring page version was handed out freely to anyone as an ode to the communal, artistic, and interactive nature of the festival.
